'Company' explores themes of life, death and rebirth, a conversation with the intangible and the unseen. The body of work was created while living remotely in central Australia in the Aboriginal community of Ntaria (Hermannsburg). Created with found materials such as local clay, charcoal, and pigment, out of both necessity and a method for deeper connection. The title of the exhibition ‘Company’ refers to both the strong sense of communal living and interconnectedness felt in the community, as well as the more esoteric, unseen realm of spirits and their presence felt on country.
